It is so brave to write a poem in this format! Also, how creative is it that it also talks about the essence of poetry. I have to felt lonely and poetry has often been an answer to that loneliness. Also, so cool the narrative you created actually made sense!
I'm usually not so into this sort of form, but you really did this incredibly well, Carmella. It doesn't sound forced at all - which happens so often when limited by a pre-written text. It's just so real. The non-happy ending felt like a real blow to the reader for the writer and the reader as a writer (in this class, at least). I am not sure where this is from, even though I see you crossed out the original author in a way that I can still read it. Am I supposed to recognize it, or just view your chosen words as an individual entity?
